Lessons in Fire
I know I’ve been quiet for a while here on the blog. Between finishing the Kundalini Tarot deck and getting ready for the big move, I’ve been rather busy these past few days. And today is the day. The first of October, the month that everyone in the astrological world seems to be having fits over. Lucky me.
I have to say, things have been going much better than expected since I got the news last week about the abrupt change in move-out dates. But with the Universe’s help, great things happened. I still have a little ways to go, but I’m not really worried about it. The Universe has my back, yo.
Right now, I’m waiting for responses and I thought I’d write a blog post, since I haven’t in a few days. But to be honest, I had no idea what to write about. So I did a three-card spread about it.
Past: Knight of Wands
This dude is all about excitement and enthusiasm, something that I asked the Universe for last week. He goes for his goals at full speed, and ends up making a few mistakes and missing a few details every now and then. But because of his enthusiasm and passion, people are willing to overlook this mishaps and help him move forward.
I definitely felt that energy last week. With the Pay What You Can offer for my Ultimate Tarot Reading Library, there were some snags in the system. I was just so excited to do it that I didn’t even think to test the system out. But those who took advantage of the offer were very generous, and worked with me to make things right. Which was very cool.
Present: King of Wands
The King of Wands is the fiery leader. I always see him as the businessman who is pro at
delegating and getting other people to do the work to bring ideas to life. He’s the front-man that brings in the clients, then splits the work into chunks for his employees to do. He manages and supervises, and motivates everyone to do their best.
As it happens, I recently started discussions with a man who’s looking to do just that. He’s looking to create a team of web developers to subcontract work to while he brings in clients. And it all seems like a very good idea. I’m not averse to joining the team, but it seems to me that some kinks need to be ironed out first.
Future: The Hierophant
The Hierophant is still one of my least favorite cards. But to look at it objectively, it’s about learning and teaching, and going along with tradition. It’s about furthering your education and expanding your knowledge. The Hierophant is a mentor, someone who asks you the right questions and teaches you the right lessons so that you can go out and learn your own truths.
It seems to me that some mentoring is in my future. With both the Ultimate Tarot Reading Library and the web development team the King of Wands is creating, teaching others and helping them to expand their knowledge is a big part of the deal. I was told once during a combined tarot/astrology reading that I have great teaching abilities. It was suggested that I teach people how to deal with spiritual entities since I’ve had such strong experiences with them (a story for another time, dear). I don’t know about all that — I doubt anyone would want to hear me talk about ghosts and fairies.
But in the near future, teaching others could be an opportunity for me to look into. I did find out about Udemy.com last week, and how their online teaching model works. I found it very intriguing… Maybe I could teach a course on how to be blunt and brutally honest. Ha!
Speaking of which, here’s a question: What would you like to learn?
What would you be interested in knowing more about? I’ve tried creating courses on web development, but no one seems to be into that. And I could create a course about tarot, but there are tons of other people who would be more inclined to that sort of thing. So what could I teach? What would you like to learn?
Let me know in the comments below. I want to hear from you!
